Privacy policy

Summary

We collect as little data as we can. We do not sell anything to anyone. We do not run behavioural advertising. We ask for your consent before any analytics cookies are set, and you can decline and still use everything on the site.

What we collect

Analytics:We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used — page views, referrers, approximate location, and device type. This is governed by Google Consent Mode: until you accept analytics in the cookie banner, no analytics cookies are set and no data is associated with you. If you decline, it stays that way. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's cookies.

Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address for the sole purpose of sending you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click; your email is removed from our records when you do.

Contact form: If you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email, topic, and message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry.

What we do not collect

We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels, and we do not run behavioural advertising. We do not fingerprint browsers, we do not build cross-site profiles of you, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes. Google processes analytics data on our behalf under its data-processing terms; we do not use it to identify you personally.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold. Contact us at privacy@thebitcointransition.org and we will respond within five working days.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and note the date of the change. Minor clarifications do not require notice.
